About the course?
Two workshop takes are taking place on 11 and 18th August from 9-330 pm for children aged 4-9 years.
Our Superhero courses teach emotional regulation techniques through 5 superheroes to self-regulation, movement to music, storytelling, craft activities, visualisation and mindfulness.
Using the imagination unleashes confidence, helps us to build resilience and learn skills that will make us stronger than ever before.
During our workshops we practice using magic tools for confidence and bravery and practice activating the self-regulation superheroes. This gives children the confidence to face challenges in real life.
Why are these tools important?
Anxiety, low confidence, and inability to recognise and manage feelings can be debilitating for children and it can stop young people from taking part in activities outside and in school and it can make it challenging to make friends and be able to socialise and interact with others.
What can you expect from the courses?
The course consists of : 6 hour interactive sessions. Groups of up to 15 children. Teaching practical activities on how to recognise and manage their emotions, which they can also do at home. The course includes all resources.
Resource pack includes: a science pack where they track the use of the Confidence cape to prove that it works by awarding themselves stars, a calm breathing jar, a bravery shield, a positive affirmation, and a visualisation guide. Children take these home at the end of the workshop.
Parents are asked to support their children at home with the activities and encourage them to use their new tools when they are facing challenges. We also ask parents to assist them with the Science experiment and to help them record the results.
Dress code: Dress your child in comfortable clothing. Trainers are preferred footwear. This is a practical workshop and we will be moving around. Please provide a water bottle.
